Helping moms do what they love.
Dr. Katrina Bubb-Kelly, PT, DPT, CSCS, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in helping women stay strong, active, and confident throughout pregnancy and postpartum. With more than a decade of experience, she is passionate about empowering mothers to move well, reduce pain, prepare for birth, recover with confidence, and return to the activities they love.
A graduate of Northeastern University’s Bouvé College of Health Sciences, Dr. Katrina combines evidence-based physical therapy with advanced certifications in Strength and Conditioning (CSCS) and as a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. Her approach goes beyond treating symptoms — she helps women build strength, improve pelvic floor and core function, and develop lasting confidence in their bodies through every stage of motherhood.
As a mother of two, Dr. Katrina understands firsthand the physical and emotional demands that come with pregnancy, birth, and raising children. That personal experience, combined with her clinical expertise, allows her to connect with each patient on a deeper level and provide compassionate, individualized care that meets women where they are.
Whether supporting someone through pregnancy, helping them recover after delivery, or guiding them back to lifting, running, or everyday life without pain or leaking, Dr. Katrina is dedicated to helping every woman feel capable, resilient, and empowered.
When she's not in the clinic, she enjoys swimming, cycling, snowboarding, rock climbing, reading, and spending time with her husband and two children.
Stay active, strong, and confident throughout every stage of pregnancy. Dr. Katrina helps you manage aches and pains, prepare your body for labor and delivery, and safely adapt your workouts so you can continue doing the things you love while supporting a healthy pregnancy.
Your body has been through an incredible transformation, now it's time to recover with purpose. Whether you're navigating pelvic floor symptoms, core weakness, back pain, C-section recovery, or simply wondering where to start, Dr. Katrina provides personalized care to help you heal, rebuild strength, and feel like yourself again.
Getting cleared for exercise is just the beginning. Dr. Katrina creates an individualized plan to help you safely return to lifting, running, fitness classes, or your favorite activities without pain, leaking, or fear of injury. Together, you'll build strength, confidence, and resilience so you can move forward stronger than ever.
Not at all! Physical therapy isn't just for treating pain, it's also one of the best ways to prevent it. We help women stay strong during pregnancy, prepare for labor and delivery, recover safely after birth, and return to exercise with confidence before problems become bigger issues.
The sooner, the better. You can begin physical therapy at any point during pregnancy, and postpartum care can start as soon as you're medically appropriate after delivery. Whether you're a few weeks postpartum or several years after having children, it's never too late to address symptoms and improve your strength and function.

Your first session is a one-on-one evaluation with Dr. Katrina. She'll take the time to understand your goals, pregnancy or birth history, movement patterns, and any symptoms you're experiencing. Together, you'll create a personalized treatment plan that may include movement assessment, strength testing, education, hands-on treatment (when appropriate), and exercises designed specifically for your body.
*We do not require or perform internal pelvic exams.
A personal trainer can be a great resource for building strength and improving fitness—but pregnancy and postpartum bring unique changes to your body that require specialized knowledge. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced training in pregnancy and postpartum care, Dr. Katrina understands how changes to your core, pelvic floor, joints, and movement patterns can impact your ability to exercise safely and confidently.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Dr. Katrina evaluates how your body is moving, identifies areas that may need support, and creates a personalized plan based on your stage of pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and individual goals. Whether you’re preparing for birth, healing after delivery, or working toward returning to lifting, running, or your favorite workouts, you’ll receive expert guidance designed to help you build strength while protecting your long-term health.
We are an out-of-network physical therapy clinic, which means we do not bill insurance directly. This allows Dr. Katrina to provide longer, one-on-one sessions with personalized care that is focused on your goals—not limited by insurance restrictions.
Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits, and we are happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to understand your specific coverage.
"I have been a member at Core since late 2022 and cannot say enough wonderful things about this team. They have guided me through two pregnancies and postpartum periods with personalized support, compassion, and humor. Katrina has been instrumental in helping me understand my recovery journey. Her postpartum mom’s strength training group has truly been game changing for me - not only is there social support but I feel so much stronger and better able to manage my mom life. I’ve recommended them to every mom I know. They say it takes a village and I’m so lucky CORE is part of mine!"
"I’ve been going through physical therapy here for autoimmune arthritis and postpartum pelvic floor therapy. There was a point when I first started therapy postpartum where I could barely walk. By the time the next session of Restore Your Core for postpartum moms launched, I was ready to rebuild strength — and I jumped in.
Such a great program! Katrina was so mindful of my condition, finding that sweet spot where I was challenged without ever being pushed too hard, and I feel so much stronger now.
The community makes it even better — Katrina is a mom herself with kids around the same age, so she really gets it, and Kate, who runs the front desk, is a complete vibe who brightens the room - and your day. I also met other moms going through the same thing, and bringing our kids to sessions together made the whole experience so much easier and more supportive. Highly recommend this program to any postpartum mom looking to rebuild strength - with no pressure to perform on any given day because this journey is hard enough as it is - and support your path to feeling like yourself again!"
"Restore your core has been such an excellent way to start exercise during postpartum and after a c section. Dr. Katrina is the best at making sure each week you continue to get stronger and more confident! It has meant so much to me during this period to be able to be with a group of women in a similar phase of life. Bringing my baby along with me allowed me to participate in a way I couldn’t otherwise. I highly recommend this program, it was truly a wonderful experience!"
